HOT: Former PSG star becomes teammate of Xuan Son

Steel Xanh Nam Dinh has officially recruited Felix Eboa Eboa, a center-back who came through PSG's academy, with Ligue 1 experience and a solid season in Bulgaria.

Steel Xanh Nam Dinh continues to accelerate its squad rebuilding process as it officially announces Felix Eboa Eboa as a new signing for the 2026/27 season. The Southern team has not disclosed the contract duration or financial terms, but the arrival of the Cameroonian center-back shows a clear priority: adding experience, physicality, and stability to the defense after a strong foreign player cleanup.

Eboa Eboa was born on April 19, 1997 in Douala, currently 29 years old, holding dual Cameroonian and French citizenship. He stands 1.86m tall, right-footed, and specializes as a central defender. Before arriving at Thien Truong, he left Arda Kardzhali as a free agent after more than two seasons in the Bulgarian top flight.

The most notable point in Eboa Eboa's profile is not just the "former PSG player" label. He was trained in the youth system of the Parisian club, made 21 appearances in the UEFA Youth League, and reached the final with PSG U19 in the 2015/16 season. In 2017, he left PSG's reserve team to sign a professional contract with Guingamp, thus beginning his true journey in top-level football.

In his first two seasons at Guingamp, Eboa Eboa played 50 matches in Ligue 1 and scored four goals. He faced PSG, Lyon, Monaco, and many strong attacks in French football, and was part of Guingamp's run to the French League Cup final in the 2018/19 season. After the club's relegation, the Cameroonian defender added another 24 appearances in Ligue 2.

Eboa Eboa's career faced a huge challenge when he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in August 2020. Complications from an infection forced the center-back to undergo four surgeries and be sidelined for a long period. Reflecting on that tough time, he once shared: "I thought everything was over, that I would never be able to play football again." However, Eboa Eboa returned to play and later regained his rhythm in Bulgaria.

The 2025/26 season showed that Eboa Eboa still maintained stability and high-intensity performance. The Cameroonian center-back made 31 appearances in the Bulgarian league, accumulating about 2,600 minutes, and helped Arda Kardzhali keep 14 clean sheets. During his time on the pitch, the team conceded only 27 goals, averaging roughly one goal every 96 minutes. These numbers better reflect Eboa Eboa's value in maintaining defensive structure, protecting the central area, and becoming a regular link in one of the league's most solid defenses.

After parting ways with Lucas Alves, Nam Dinh needs an experienced center-back to become a new anchor. Eboa Eboa does not have the outstanding height of his predecessor, but 50 matches in Ligue 1 along with a journey of overcoming serious injury create a special profile. If he adapts well to the pace, weather, and direct nature of the V-League, the stopper developed from PSG could open up a new defensive structure at Thien Truong.
