Dong Nai owns the most valuable star in V.League 2026/27

Dong Nai FC has attracted notice for possessing Andrei Ivan, the foreign player with the highest valuation in V.League 2026/27.

Dong Nai FC is becoming the focal point of the transfer window ahead of the V.League 2026/27 season after officially securing Andrei Ivan – the player currently valued the highest in the league. The arrival of the Romanian international not only elevates the team's quality but also underscores the ambitious goals of the newly promoted club in its first season back in Vietnam's top football tier.

During the squad reinforcement period, Dong Nai announced up to eight new signings, most notably the foreign duo Andrei Ivan and Andrija Majdevac. According to the specialist site Transfermarkt, Andrei Ivan is valued at €800,000, the highest in V.League 2026/27, while Majdevac follows closely behind at €750,000. By simultaneously recruiting two players with the league's top transfer values, Dong Nai has made a strong impression even before the season kicks off.

Born in 1997, Andrei Ivan is a Romanian national team player. This striker has previously played for several well-known European clubs such as Universitatea Craiova, Rapid Wien (Austria), and Panserraikos (Greece). During his time at Universitatea Craiova, he scored 72 goals and provided 38 assists, helping the team win the Romanian Cup and Super Cup. In the 2025/26 season, Ivan continued competing in the Greek Super League, making 32 appearances, scoring 5 goals, and recording 3 assists.

Equally noteworthy, Andrija Majdevac is also a quality signing for Dong Nai. The Serbian striker has previously played for the Serbia U18 team and gained extensive experience in leagues across Serbia, Greece, and Hungary. Last season, he played 29 matches for Napredak in all competitions, scoring 9 goals and providing 2 assists, promising to become a well-coordinated partner for Andrei Ivan in attack.

In addition to the two stars mentioned above, Dong Nai has also added two other foreign players along with four experienced domestic players. In total, the club has brought in three Serbian foreign players, one Romanian international, and several quality faces to strengthen squad depth. This is seen as a thorough preparation by the management ahead of a season predicted to be highly competitive.
