OFFICIAL: Hanoi Acquires 'Ngoc Rong', Ready to Compete for the New Season Championship

Hanoi quickly bolstered its roster following the exit of Pham Tuan Hai, officially recruiting Bui Ngoc Long, a speedy winger who just secured the National Cup title with Cong An Ho Chi Minh City.

Hanoi continues to demonstrate its strong ambitions ahead of the V-League 2026/27 season, officially signing winger Bui Ngoc Long. The arrival of the 24-year-old newcomer is expected to strengthen the capital team, ready to rejoin the championship race.

After parting ways with striker Pham Tuan Hai, Hanoi FC quickly found a notable addition to their attack. According to an official announcement, the capital club has completed the signing of Ngoc Long from CA Ho Chi Minh City, marking one of the most notable moves in the pre-season transfer market.

Joining Hanoi after four seasons with CA Ho Chi Minh City, Ngoc Long brings not only V-League experience but also a strong desire to prove himself in the colors of one of Vietnam's most traditional clubs.

During his time with the city team named after Uncle Ho, the 2001-born player made 54 appearances across all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists. Although not a player with outstanding statistics, Ngoc Long is highly regarded for his speed, explosive ability, and abundant energy on the wings.

In the 2025/26 season, the 24-year-old midfielder made 15 appearances and contributed to CA Ho Chi Minh City's National Cup victory. That consistent performance convinced Hanoi's management to bring him in to add depth to the squad.

Notably, Ngoc Long is seen as the solution to the gap left by Tuan Hai. Although he does not play as a center forward, he can operate flexibly on both wings, frequently cutting inside and creating chances with his dribbling and acceleration. This style fits the possession-based, fast-transition game that Hanoi is building.

Beyond the Ngoc Long deal, the capital club has also sent clear signals of its ambition to compete for the title. Earlier, Hanoi extended captain Do Hung Dung's contract until 2028, securing one of the most experienced leaders in the squad.
