FA Cup: Two penalty shootouts! Chengdu Rongcheng upset 5-6 to ten-man Yunnan Yukun, while Dalian Yingbo eliminated Henan 7-6.

Two additional FA Cup last-16 matches took place on July 21, Beijing time. Both contests were decided by penalty kicks, with Yunnan Yukun and Dalian Yingbo respectively overcoming Chengdu Rongcheng and Henan to secure their spots in the top eight.

In the 5th minute, He Yiran went down the right flank and delivered a cut-back pass into the box, allowing Wei Shihao to follow up with a volley and score, giving Rongcheng a lightning-fast lead.

In the 22nd minute, Yonitça assisted from a corner kick, and Caio scored with a header to equalize for Yukun.

In the 27th minute, Romulo delivered a cross from the right into the box, and Felipe headed home to put Rongcheng ahead again.

In the 40th minute, 18-year-old Bunyamin played a cut-back from the right side of the box to the center, and Caio followed up with a push shot to score, making it 2-2 at halftime.

After the break, in the 46th minute, Ye Chugui slid in on Wellington, and referee Ai Kun showed a straight red card, reducing Yukun to ten men for the remainder of the match.

In the 62nd minute, Yonitça won a penalty and converted it himself, leveling the score once more for Yukun.

In the 76th minute, Rongcheng thought they had scored when Romulo headed in, but the assistant referee flagged for offside, disallowing the goal.

Extra time ended goalless. In the subsequent penalty shootout, Rongcheng converted only 2 of 5 attempts, with Wellington, Sorokin, and Romulo missing; Yukun scored 3 of 5, with Duan Liuyu and Yi Teng failing to convert.

In the end, Yukun won the shootout 3-2, eliminating Rongcheng with a 6-5 aggregate score. After advancing to the quarter-finals, Yunnan Yukun will face Chongqing Tonglianglong.

In the 9th minute, Achim-pong broke through and crossed from the byline; Shi Chenglong failed to clear the ball far, and unmarked Stanciu volleyed home to give Yingbo an away lead.

In the 32nd minute, Gustavo held up the ball with his back to goal, Nassario played a through ball, and Zhong Yihao ran onto it to slot a low shot into the net, equalizing for Henan.

In the 35th minute, Shi Chenglong made a mistake in palming the ball, and Achim-pong tapped in the rebound, but the referee ruled it offside, disallowing the goal.

After the break, in the 57th minute, Dalian Yingbo came close to taking the lead again. Liao Jintao met the ball and struck a volley, but it hit the post and bounced out.

Extra time ended goalless. In the penalty shootout that followed, Dalian Yingbo converted 6 of 7 attempts, while Henan converted 5 of 7. In the end, Dalian Yingbo won the shootout 6-5, eliminating Henan with a 7-6 aggregate score. After reaching the quarter-finals, they will face Shanghai Shenhua.
