According to the airline's announcement, the additional flight will depart from Ezeiza International Airport at 10:00 PM on July 18 Argentina time (10:00 AM on July 19 Vietnam time), using a wide-body Airbus A330. One-way ticket prices start at 2,200 USD, excluding taxes and fees, and are now available for purchase on the airline's website and through travel agencies.

Previously, Aerolíneas Argentinas had arranged two special flights to John F. Kennedy International Airport (New York), departing on the evening of July 17 and the morning of July 18, respectively. However, all tickets for both flights were sold out within less than 12 hours after Argentina secured a spot in the final, forcing the airline to add one more flight to meet demand.

Not only the special flights to New York, but all regular Aerolíneas Argentinas flights to Miami in the days before the final are also fully booked, indicating that the wave of Argentine fans traveling to the US to support the team is at a very high level.

According to Argentina's national airline, the increase in flights is part of a flexible network adjustment plan based on the developments of the 2026 World Cup. Throughout the tournament, the airline has repeatedly added flights to host cities where the Argentine team played to meet the travel needs of fans.

The 2026 World Cup is the first World Cup to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, near New York City. Argentina's presence in the final has created an unprecedented wave of fan travel, causing a sharp increase in demand for flights from Argentina to the US within just a few hours after the team secured its place in the final.
