BREAKING: V-League newcomers sign European striker to partner Cong Phuong

Truong Tuoi Dong Nai is showing very active preparation ahead of the 2026/27 season as they near the signing of three Serbian players. This is seen as a key move by the V-League newcomers in upgrading their squad, especially after announcing their first domestic signings in the summer transfer window.

According to information from Serbia's Meridian Sport, Cong Phuong's club has made significant progress in negotiations with center-back Filip Jovic, midfielder Milos Vulić, and striker Andrija Majdevac. If the deals are completed, the Southeast team will have quality options in all three lines, thereby increasing squad depth for the new season.

Among the three Serbian imports, Milos Vulić is the most notable. The 1996-born midfielder stands at 1.83m, has been capped twice by the Serbian national team. He also possesses rich playing experience, having played for clubs such as Crvena Zvezda, Crotone, Perugia, and Napredak. Vulić's arrival is expected to enhance Truong Tuoi Dong Nai's midfield with better ball control, play organization, and the ability to create breakthroughs.

In defense, Filip Jovic is a promising addition. The 2000-born player stands at 1.85m, plays as a center-back, and was once called up to Serbia's U18 team. Last season, Jovic played for Slaven Belupo in Croatia. With his good physique and European experience, he can bring solidity to the newcomers' defensive system.

Up front, Andrija Majdevac promises to be a notable partner for Nguyen Cong Phuong. The 1997-born striker, standing at 1.86m, has played for Serbia's U18 team and is currently under contract with Napredak. Last season, Majdevac scored 9 goals in 30 appearances, demonstrating a consistent scoring ability. If the deal goes through, he could become a key spearhead in Truong Tuoi Dong Nai's attacking plans.

Previously, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai has officially announced four domestic newcomers, including goalkeeper Pham Van Phong, center-back Bui Tien Dung, and two defenders Nguyen Van Duc and Phan Van Hieu.
