This afternoon, July 7, the Vietnam national team resumed practice in Incheon, South Korea, as part of their preparation for the second exhibition game in the training camp aimed at the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
Before heading to the field, head coach Kim Sang Sik and his coaching staff held a tactical meeting where the players reviewed footage of the 6-0 victory over Siheung FC. Both the positive aspects and the shortcomings of the Vietnam team were analyzed in order to make adjustments for the upcoming test.
During the training session lasting over an hour, Coach Kim Sang Sik devoted most of the time to attacking organization and transition drills. The intensity of the workout remained high.

Data collected from the GPS system also showed positive signals regarding the physical foundation and movement ability of the players after nearly a week of training in South Korea.
One of the players attracting attention in this training camp is midfielder Đỗ Hoàng Hên. The player born in 1994 stated that he is integrating well and feels proud to be part of the Vietnam national team’s preparation for the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
"I am very happy to be here with the Vietnam national team. This is a very important tournament, and the whole team is working hard every day to prepare as best as possible.
The team has many excellent players. Although everyone comes from different clubs, they always support each other when they are with the national team. The coaching staff also helps a lot so that everyone can improve together. The most important thing is that the whole team is aiming to perform well and try to help Vietnam defend the championship", Hoàng Hên shared.
According to Hoàng Hên, the spirit of unity and the mutual support among members left a strong impression on him. Having previously played with Đặng Văn Lâm, Xuân Son, and many Hà Nội FC players also helped the midfielder quickly adapt to the national team environment.

Hoàng Hên affirmed that his biggest goal is to contribute to the overall success and help the Vietnam national team defend the Southeast Asian championship.
"Playing for the Vietnam national team is a great pride for me. I will always try my best to perform well and contribute to the team. I hope to win the 2026 ASEAN Championship together with the whole team", Hoàng Hên emphasized.
On July 8, the Vietnam national team will play a friendly match against Yongin FC, a team currently competing in K.League 2. This is considered a test with higher professional quality than the first match, thereby helping Coach Kim Sang Sik continue to evaluate the squad, refine tactical plans, and finalize personnel ahead of the 2026 ASEAN Championship.
