Indonesia summons 50 players for 2026 Asean Cup preparation, featuring Justin Hubner and Marselino.

Indonesia has assembled 50 players for a training camp in Bali as part of their buildup to the 2026 AFF Cup. On August 3, John Herdman's squad will face Vietnam in a eagerly awaited encounter.

Indonesia's training camp starts on July 7, 2026, at the Bali United Training Center in Gianyar. Coach John Herdman has summoned up to 50 players to assess the squad before narrowing down the roster for the Southeast Asian championship.

For the first time under Herdman, Persib Bandung's duo Adam Alis and goalkeeper Teja Paku Alam have been given an opportunity with the Indonesian national team. Additionally, the English manager has also called up 21-year-old midfielder Taufik Rustam from Malut United.

Arkhan Kaka, an 18-year-old striker from Persis Solo, also attracts attention as he is named in the preliminary squad for the 2026 AFF Cup. This young forward is among the players given a chance by Herdman during the Bali training camp.

The preliminary list of the Indonesian national team also features several notable players plying their trade overseas. Justin Hubner, a defender for Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch Eredivisie, continues to be selected. Marselino Ferdinan, a midfielder from Oxford United in England, is also included.

Mathew Baker, a defender from Melbourne City in Australia, is on the 50-player list. Significantly, striker Mitchell Baker, who is undergoing naturalization for Indonesia, has also been called up by Herdman.

Mitchell Baker and Luke Vickery are now only waiting to take the citizenship oath to officially become Indonesian citizens (WNI).
