[Complete Round of 16 Lineup]

Host Nations (3 teams):United States, Canada, Mexico

Europe (7 teams):England, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium

South America (4 teams):Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay

Africa (2 teams):Morocco, Egypt

Despite surprise eliminations of the Netherlands and Germany, European teams still dominate the Round of 16, securing half of the spots with 7 nations. South America contributes 4 teams to the mix.

Furthermore, all three co-hosts of this tournament successfully navigated the first knockout round. The final two spots belong to African teams. Following the exits of Japan and Australia, there are no longer any AFC teams remaining in the competition.

It is noteworthy that among the 8 teams qualifying for the 32-nation group stage as third seeds, only Paraguay, who caused an upset by eliminating Germany, remains. The other seven have all been knocked out.

The upcoming Round of 16 features three must-watch matches. The most significant is undoubtedly the "Iberian Derby" between Spain and Portugal. Additionally, England faces a tough challenge as they travel to high altitude to take on Mexico, the tournament's unbeaten host nation. The clash between Brazil's superstars and Norway is also highly anticipated.
