Ball Dream Youth Club: Like the children, we are all teenagers of "Ball Dream".

Reporter Wang Shaoheng reports In 2015, Lin Xiaomin walked in the football field he had just taken over, and he was very worried. This is his friend's court, and since he didn't have time to take care of it, he handed it over to Lin Xiaomin, who had just returned to Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong. In Lin Xiaomin's circle, there are not many friends who know his name, and most people call him "Fourth Brother".

Before 2015, Lin Xiaomin has been doing the financial industry in Guangzhou, after many years of hard work, he has his own family and a child about to be born, because his wife is from Shunde, in order to provide a better environment for his wife to give birth, he gave up his financial career in Guangzhou, and returned to his wife's hometown Shunde.

Leaving the former comfort zone, Lin Xiaomin must think about how to go in the future. I happen to have a pitch in my hand and I like to play football, so let's do youth football training. Lin Xiaomin has loved to play football since he was a child, but he has not received professional training, so he just plays wild ball with his classmates and other children after school. After he started boarding in middle school, he played on the school court as soon as he got out of school, and he played until late at night before returning to the classroom.

Start with a pitch

The financial industry is hugely risky, and after swimming in that circle for many years, Lin Xiaomin knows that every industry has its own rules and risks. He did not plunge into the youth training industry with a hot head, but used the resources at hand to undertake the winter training business of professional clubs at all levels in China. For the northern team, the winter in Guangdong is too friendly, even if there is rain, the outdoor training conditions are much better than in the north. Therefore, many professional teams like to come to Guangdong for winter training, and not only the first team, but also the echelon.

Lin Xiaomin's stadium hosted an echelon of a northern professional team that was in the limelight at the time, and that team once stormed the top league of Chinese professional football in an incredible way. The team was the head coach of the first team at the time, and later became the head coach of the Chinese national team. That team was well-funded at the time, and they were very satisfied with Lin Xiaomin's pitch and made generous shots. Because it is an echelon winter training and relatively open, Lin Xiaomin is on the side to observe what the youth training of professional clubs is like?

Looking back many years later, Lin Xiaomin believes that professional clubs are the upper echelons of youth training, while social clubs like theirs are lower. Lin Xiaomin feels that there are some problems in the upper level of the existing youth training, and he hopes to help the children change some things at the lower level, and when these children have the opportunity to enter the upper level, they can also change some things that have existed for a long time.

When Lin Xiaomin established the Dream Youth Club, there were only three coaches, all of whom were like him, with zero professional foundation and football enthusiasts. They recruited only one child in their first batch of admissions. Three people surrounded the child to instruct. Half a year later, they had 6 students. By 2016, the club had more than 30 students. Lin Xiaomin said: "In this process, not only the children are growing, but we are also slowly learning and growing. ”

In the early days of the club, Lin Xiaomin often went to see the training of other youth training institutions, including the training of foreign coaches, and some old-timers in the industry also pointed out a lot to them. However, Lin Xiaomin still knows where his ceiling is. He said: "When a child reaches a certain level, he actually needs a more professional coach. I'm willing to face my shortcomings, I know what I can do, I know where my ceiling is, and when it's time for a higher level coach to step in, I don't hesitate to give my child a better chance. "The current Football Dream Youth Club, as well as Guangzhou football star Tan Weijun, Lin Xiaomin's previous children were handed over to Tan Gui Belt, and after a period of time, Lin Xiaomin found that these children had made great progress.

Lay a good foundation for Chinese football

When Lin Xiaomin was developing a dream boy, he invited a foreign teacher, but it was not successful. "It's not that the level of foreign teachers is not high, in fact, they are quite able to mobilize the enthusiasm of children, but we are a social club, unlike professional teams, many children just forget after playing, without thinking and reviewing, and foreign teachers seem to think that these should be the children to think about themselves, so sometimes there will be a certain gap between foreign teachers and our actual situation. It's like the gap between the ideal and the reality. He said.

"When we do youth training, we often encounter a situation where parents will come to me and ask me if my child has any talent and whether he can play football to eat in the future." Lin Xiaomin said, "Many parents will only agree to let their children play football if they have the talent and can play in a higher team. I don't think that's right. ”

Lin Xiaomin remembers that a famous Chinese football legend once said that we do youth training not to train a large number of professional players, but to cultivate a large number of doctors, teachers, police officers and ordinary professionals who like football. He himself sees it this way: "Football is like life, there are wins and losses. If you work hard, you won't necessarily win, and if you don't work hard, you'll definitely lose. The same is true of the idea that we are instilling in our children now, don't care if you win or lose a game, we care about your attitude on the field. "Sometimes, Lin Xiaomin will also get angry and scold." To be honest, coaches who don't scold children are lying to you, but we don't scold because we lose, we don't play for the championship, and I don't ask every child to play what they do, but the most basic attitude. He said.

As for why his club is called "Football Dream Boy"? Lin Xiaomin said frankly: "These children are teenagers who seek dreams, pursuing their football dreams. Me too, and I'm still the same boy I was back then. ”
