Thanh Hóa faces a major challenge ahead of the new season.

Thanh Hóa FC continues to face significant difficulties regarding its squad and resources ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Although they achieved their goal of staying in the V.League for the 2025/26 season, Thanh Hóa FC is entering a very difficult period before the new season. With the financial problem unsolved and the team still unable to secure a long-term partner, the future of the representative from Thanh Hóa has become a major question mark, significantly affecting preparations for the 2026/27 season.

Last season was a challenging journey for Thanh Hóa. The team faced considerable resource difficulties, hindering its operations and squad preparation. Nevertheless, under the guidance of the coaching staff and with the unity of the players, the team competed with great effort to finish in 11th place, thereby officially securing another season in the V.League.

Besides the financial issues, Thanh Hóa also faced significant pressure regarding personnel. Some outstanding payments caused the team to be affected by international transfer regulations. This has partly impacted its recruitment plans and also made it difficult for the coaching staff to build a squad with sufficient depth for the new season.

Not only facing difficulties in recruiting new players, Thanh Hóa has also bid farewell to many players after the season concluded. Some key players' contracts ended, and they chose new destinations, while all of the foreign players also parted ways with the club. Currently, coach Mai Xuan Hop only has a small group of eligible players to train with, forcing the coaching staff to consider promoting young talents and recalling players who were on loan.

According to the plan, Thanh Hóa FC will regroup on July 4th to begin preparations for the 2026/27 season. However, the preparation process still has many issues to resolve as the team has been unable to complete its squad as desired. Finding additional resources to ensure stable operations remains the top priority for the club's leadership at this stage.

Despite many difficulties ahead, Thanh Hóa's fans still hope the team will soon overcome this challenging period. If they can stabilize their finances and complete their personnel arrangements, Thanh Hóa can certainly aim for a more positive season. For now, the entire team will focus fully on the preparation process while waiting for positive signals so that they can enter the 2026/27 season with a stronger mindset.
