According to a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Switzerland, the newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung highly praised Johan Manzambi's performance, calling him "an athlete from another planet." On the field, Johan Manzambi shone from the 10th minute, the young man from Geneva made a sprint reminiscent of a track athlete, surpassing all opponents and passing to Breel Embolo to score. The early goal gave Switzerland comfort against a resilient, strong, and fearless Algerian team. The world's 29th-ranked FIFA team has several outstanding players in its squad, such as Ibrahim Maza of Bayer Leverkusen or Riyad Mahrez, the 35-year-old player with many years of experience in the Premier League. However, with the subsequent developments on the field, it seems Algeria lacked a Manzambi. The African representative couldn't find a way to cope with the speed of the Swiss youngster. And no top-class attacking player could create similar surprising moments in front of Gregor Kobel's goal as Manzambi did on the other side of the field.

On the same day, the newspaper Le Temps (a French-language Swiss newspaper) published an article praising the fighting spirit of the entire Swiss team, which played excellently and focused against Algeria to advance to the round of 16. In Vancouver, the Swiss team controlled the match and was supported by a suitable strategy. It is expected that the European team will face Colombia or Ghana in the next round. Le Temps also quoted coach Murat Yakin's post-match statement: "Today we had a very good defensive performance; at all times during the match, we defended solidly and did not allow the opponent to create any opportunities." Coach Murat Yakin also praised the whole team for enduring much pressure during the match, adding that the goals came at the right time and the team fully deserved to advance to the next round of the tournament.

Switzerland defended solidly, almost without making mistakes, forcing Algeria to focus on attacking the flanks and creating only a few dangerous opportunities, while the European team effectively utilized counterattacks to score goals.

Coach Murat Yakin said there were moments when the team dropped deep and pressing was not effective, but Switzerland knew how to exploit spaces, score at the right time, and gradually control the game. He expressed satisfaction with the team's performance and thanked the players, coaching staff, and fans for their support.
