A First Division team unexpectedly brings back a 'key figure'

Coach Võ Đình Tân officially returns to manage Khatoco Khanh Hoa before the 2026/27 season.

Khatoco Khanh Hoa Club formally enters a new phase by appointing Coach Võ Đình Tân back to the head coach position on the eve of the 2026/27 National First Division season. After more than two years away from the coaching bench, the experienced manager is once again expected to help the coastal team regain its standing and aim for higher objectives in the coming period.

The information was confirmed by the leadership of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Club on the afternoon of July 2nd. Accordingly, Coach Võ Đình Tân has completed the contract signing procedures and will replace Coach Trần Trọng Bình to lead the team in the new season. This is seen as a strategic decision by the board of directors, in the context of Khanh Hoa aiming to build a squad capable of competing in the First Division.

For fans of Khanh Hoa football, Võ Đình Tân is a familiar name. He spent almost his entire playing career with local football before transitioning to youth training and then assuming the role of head coach. Since 2013, when Khanh Hoa football had to start over from the Second Division, he was entrusted with leading the team through its most difficult period.

Coach Võ Đình Tân's greatest achievement was the remarkable feat of helping Khanh Hoa achieve two consecutive promotions in just two years. From the Second Division, the coastal team earned promotion to the First Division in 2014, before returning to the V.League arena in the 2015 season. This accomplishment made him one of the most successful coaches in the history of Khanh Hoa football, earning great trust from the fans.

Sharing on his return day, Coach Võ Đình Tân acknowledged that the team will face many challenges. According to him, the reserve force of Khanh Hoa football experienced a period lacking succession, causing the team to almost rebuild its squad after each season. Therefore, besides the goal of improving performance, stabilizing the foundation and developing young players will also be important tasks in the upcoming journey.
