The 20-year-old midfielder from Germany's Bayer Leverkusen has become one of the most crucial players for Algeria in this World Cup. Starting in all three of Algeria's Group J matches, Maza impressed with his individual technique, tactical vision, and game management, playing a vital role in securing Algeria's place in the knockout stage of this year's tournament.

According to FIFA, Maza recorded the most successful dribbles in the group stage. He was also named Man of the Match in the decisive 2-1 victory over Jordan, which earned Algeria a spot in the next round.

In a review of players born on or after January 1, 2005, who stood out in the group stage, FIFA especially highlighted Ibrahim Maza's "tactical thinking, creativity, and influence." The former Hertha BSC player is now regarded as one of the biggest hopes for Algerian football and appears on the list alongside other top young talents such as Lamine Yamal (Spain), Johan Manzambi (Switzerland), and Ibrahim Mbaye (Senegal).

All eyes now turn to Vancouver, where Ibrahim Maza and the Algerian team will take on Switzerland in the round of 32 at 4:00 a.m. on July 3 (Algerian time).
Should they win, coach Vladimir Petković's squad will meet the winner of the Colombia vs. Ghana match in the round of 16.
