Round 9 of the National Futsal Championship: Two title contenders secure dominant victories

Matchday 9 of the 2026 VFF Futsal Championship witnessed powerful demonstrations by Thai Son Bac and Thai Son Nam HCMC.

The ninth matchday of the 2026 National Futsal Championship continued to feature outstanding performances from the two leading title contenders. While Thai Son Nam HCMC easily defeated Hanoi 6-1 to move into second place, Thai Son Bac delivered a devastating 10-0 victory over Luxury Ha Long, thereby firmly consolidating their position at the top of the standings.

In the earlier match, Thai Son Nam HCMC quickly imposed their game against Hanoi with fast-paced play and smooth coordination. Just four minutes after kickoff, Macedo capitalized on a chance inside the box to open the scoring, setting the stage for a one-sided contest by the reigning champions. In the second half, Thai Son Nam HCMC maintained their dominance. Macedo completed his brace to make it 4-0 before Tien Hung added a fifth goal. Hanoi managed a consolation goal through Trong Tin, but Ngoc Linh struck in the final minutes to seal a 6-1 win. The three points lifted Thai Son Nam HCMC to 21 points, officially moving them into second place and keeping pressure on the league leaders.

Meanwhile, Thai Son Bac had a difficult first half against Luxury Ha Long's tight defense. It wasn't until the 15th minute that An Lam To broke the deadlock following an opponent's mistake. However, that was the moment the home side began to accelerate. In the second half, Thai Son Bac displayed overwhelming strength, scoring repeatedly through Cong Dai, Ngoc Anh, Nhat Nam, Thac Hieu, Minh Hieu, and Quang Vinh. This result lifted Thai Son Bac to 25 points after nine rounds, maintaining their top spot with a four-point gap over Thai Son Nam HCMC. On the other hand, Luxury Ha Long remain rooted at the bottom of the table without any points, having conceded 68 goals since the start of the season.
