Đình Bắc ends overseas transfer rumors with a surprising decision

Forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc commits to Hanoi Police FC through 2029, closing the chapter on future rumors.

Forward Nguyễn Đình Bắc will continue his association with Hanoi Police FC in the coming years after both parties reached an agreement to extend the contract until 2029. This decision not only ends speculation about the 2004-born striker's overseas move but also demonstrates the determination of the police club to retain key players ahead of the new season.

Recently, on his personal page, Đình Bắc posted a status: "Thank you Quảng Nam FC, Hanoi Police FC 2029", along with pictures in the jerseys of both clubs. Although not an official announcement, this move is seen as confirmation that he has signed a new contract with the reigning V.League champions. It also marks the end of recent rumors regarding the young forward's future.

Nguyễn Đình Bắc seals his future with Hanoi Police FC.

Joining Hanoi Police FC at the start of the 2024/25 season on a two-year contract, Đình Bắc quickly proved his worth with explosive performances. Particularly in the second half of the 2025/26 V.League season, the 22-year-old forward scored 10 goals in six consecutive matches, becoming a key factor in helping the team clinch the title three rounds early. That impressive form prompted the management to offer him a long-term contract.

Retaining Đình Bắc is also part of Hanoi Police FC's plan to build a stable squad. Before him, the club had successively extended contracts with many key players such as Đình Trọng, Văn Hậu, Việt Anh, Alan Grafite, Leo Artur, and coach Mano Polking. This demonstrates their ambition to maintain strength to continue competing for the V.League title and aim for high achievements in international tournaments in the coming seasons.

Đình Bắc will stay with CAHN until 2029.

At 22, Đình Bắc already boasts an enviable record. He has won numerous team and individual honors, and made his mark with the Vietnam U23 team, including the ASEAN U23 Championship, a gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, a bronze medal at the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup, and the tournament's top scorer award. His consistent performances have also earned him regular call-ups to the Vietnam national team under coach Kim Sang Sik, and Transfermarkt values him at €400,000, placing him among the highest-valued players in the squad.

Before the extension, Đình Bắc was reportedly attracting interest from several domestic clubs as well as Japanese teams. However, instead of seeking new challenges, the striker from Nghệ An chose to continue with Hanoi Police FC until 2029. This is seen as a strategic decision that gives him a solid foundation to develop his career, while also becoming a core figure in the police club's ambition to conquer new heights.
