U19 Vietnam is making the best possible preparations for the match against Myanmar.

U19 Vietnam is diligently sharpening their gameplay, fully prepared to face U19 Myanmar at the 2026 ASEAN U19 Championship.

On the afternoon of June 3, the U19 Vietnam team completed their final training session to prepare for the encounter with U19 Myanmar in the second matchday of Group A at the 2026 ASEAN U19 Championship.

Following a 3-0 victory over U19 Timor Leste in their opening viamatch, Coach Yutaka Ikeuchi and his players entered training with high spirits but without complacency. On the training pitch, the coaching staff focused on perfecting tactical schemes while reviewing and adjusting professional issues identified after the first game.

Despite securing all three points and a favorable start, the U19 Vietnam coaching staff set high standards to help the team better realize their potential. Therefore, the training content on the afternoon of June 3 was primarily aimed at improving coordination between lines, enhancing chance conversion, and strengthening focus in defensive organization.

Compared to Timor Leste, U19 Myanmar is regarded as a higher-quality opponent and is expected to pose many challenges for U19 Vietnam. This team is also highly determined to achieve a positive result after their defeat to hosts Indonesia in the opening round.

Beyond professional factors, the situation in Group A also makes the confrontation between U19 Vietnam and U19 Myanmar especially important. According to the tournament format, only the top team from each group and the best runner-up advance to the semifinals. This means U19 Vietnam needs to aim for a win to maintain their advantage in the race for a spot, before facing the tough challenge of hosts Indonesia in the final group match.

According to information from Team Leader Nguyen Anh Tuan, the entire squad is maintaining good physical and mental condition after days of competing and training in Medan. Pitch and weather conditions are no longer major obstacles, as the players have had time to adapt since arriving in Indonesia.
