This is seen as a golden opportunity for coach Yutaka Ikeuchi's squad to book an early semi-final spot.

According to predictions from the BeSoccer supercomputer, U19 Vietnam is regarded as the far superior team. The above numbers partially reflect the current gap between the two teams. U19 Vietnam boasts a well-balanced squad and a boosted morale following an impressive performance against Timor Leste. Notably, striker Hoàng Công Hậu emerged as a major highlight with a hat-trick that earned the team all three points.

However, the opening victory also offered valuable lessons. Despite creating numerous chances, U19 Vietnam's forwards wasted several clear opportunities. Moreover, the defense occasionally lost concentration, allowing the opponent to launch notable counterattacks.

On the other side of the pitch, U19 Myanmar just suffered a 0-3 loss to hosts Indonesia. Despite the heavy defeat, the young Myanmar side displayed determined fighting spirit and quick transitional play. At many moments, they even caused considerable trouble for Indonesia's defense.

Regarding form, U19 Myanmar is struggling, having failed to win in their last five matches, with two draws and three losses. In contrast, U19 Vietnam holds a more favorable record with two wins, one draw, and two losses in their recent five outings.

The head-to-head history also overwhelmingly favors U19 Vietnam. In the last five meetings at the U19 level, Vietnam has won four times and drawn once against Myanmar.

If they secure all three points, U19 Vietnam will essentially have one foot in the semi-finals before the decisive match against hosts Indonesia. Given their performances and the assessment from the BeSoccer supercomputer, coach Yutaka Ikeuchi's team has every reason to aim for another victory in this year's tournament.
