Ho Chi Minh City FC claimed the 2026 National Cup Women's Football Championship title.

The showdown between Hanoi I and defending champions Ho Chi Minh City was a high-stakes clash featuring the brightest stars in current Vietnamese women's football. With national team players starting on both sides, the match quickly reached a fast pace right from the opening whistle.

Despite applying heavy pressure in the final minutes of regulation, neither side managed to find the back of the net. The final whistle blew with a 0-0 stalemate, sending the game into a penalty shootout to determine the winner. In the shootout, Ho Chi Minh City's players prevailed 3-0, claiming the 2026 National Women's Football Cup title and a prize of 200 million VND.

At the closing ceremony, the organizing committee honored the referee team and recognized the most outstanding individuals and teams of the season. Specifically, the tournament's best player was midfielder Thai Thi Thao (Hanoi I); the best goalkeeper was Tran Thi Kim Thanh (Ho Chi Minh City); the top scorer was young forward Cao Thi Linh (Phong Phu Ha Nam); and the Fair Play award went to the host team Thai Nguyen T&T.

The 2026 National Women's Football Cup took place from May 13 to 27, featuring 11 matches at Thai Nguyen Provincial Stadium, with six women's teams participating: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Ho Chi Minh City, and the host squad Thai Nguyen T&T.
