Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm: 'I will build Ninh Bình into a team with its own identity'

Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm inked a three-year deal with Ninh Bình Club and intends to develop the collective into a team possessing a unique style.

This morning, May 26, Ninh Bình Club announced the contract with Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm. The coach signed a three-year agreement with the ancient capital team, lasting until the end of 2029. This is a significant step, reflecting the club’s great ambition and long-term development direction in the new phase.

Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm begins his work at Ninh Bình today (May 26) and will be introduced to fans during the match against Thanh Hóa in round 25 of the V-League on May 31.

At the contract signing ceremony, Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm shared: "I came to Ninh Bình FC not only to pursue results, but also to work with the leadership to build a team with its own identity, a clear playing style, and to leave a mark in the hearts of fans.

I hope that when the players step onto the field, they always compete with unity, determination, passion, and a desire to win. A strong team is not just about talented individuals; more importantly, it is about team spirit, discipline, and the fighting will for the club's colors.

According to some sources, at his new club, Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm receives a monthly salary of 120 million VND along with a signing bonus of 1.2 billion VND per season.

In the event of parting ways while the contract is still valid, Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm will still receive his full salary.

To realize the long-term goals, the leadership of Ninh Bình FC decided to grant full professional authority to Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm. He will directly decide the strategy for building the playing style, selecting personnel, and the club's transfer plans.

Ninh Bình FC currently ranks fourth in the LPBank V-League 2025/26 with 45 points, tied with Hanoi FC but behind due to inferior head-to-head record. The club is determined to finish in the top three and win the National Cup.

After 24 rounds, Ninh Bình FC has used four different coaches: Gerard Albadalejo, Vũ Tiến Thành, Bae Ji Won, and now Chu Đình Nghiêm.
