At only 17, overseas Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Vu Hoang was elevated to Legia Warsaw's U19 squad and secured the Polish U19 championship with his teammates in the 2025-26 season.
In the current season, Legia Warszawa's youth team displayed dominant form, clinching the championship three rounds early. This marks the ninth time the historic Polish club has claimed the top spot in the national U19 competition, further solidifying its reputation as one of Europe's leading youth academies.
For Nguyen Vu Hoang personally, the 2025/26 season holds special significance. Joining the Legia Warszawa academy in 2023, the midfielder quickly made an impression with his technical skills, ball control, and modern tactical understanding. Consistent performances led the club to trust him with a long-term contract lasting until 2028.

Initially, Nguyen Vu Hoang mainly played for Legia Warszawa's U16 and U17 teams. However, thanks to rapid progress, he was promoted to the U19 squad late in the season and regularly featured in the starting lineup. In a recent 2-1 victory over U19 Znicz Pruszków, the midfielder born in 2009 left his mark with a key assist that helped his team secure all three points.
Being promoted to play above his age group at just 16 shows that Nguyen Vu Hoang is highly regarded by Legia Warszawa's coaching staff. If he maintains his current form, the young talent could well participate in the 2026/27 UEFA Youth League, a prestigious tournament often described as the "Champions League for youth teams" in Europe.

With his impressive progress in the European football environment, Nguyen Vu Hoang is regarded as the next promising young talent who could contribute to Vietnamese football in the future.
