Each summer brings farewells, particularly for older players, yet it also signals the beginning of new careers for some key figures. Salah, aged 33, is the top football icon in the Arab world. Instead of moving to Saudi Arabia, he will join the Turkish Super League after his Liverpool exit, driven by his desire to stay in a major European league and participate in European tournaments.
According to the latest report from Turkish media outlet Sabah Spor, Salah has agreed to join Turkish Super League giants Fenerbahce on a free transfer. The two sides have finalized a 1+1 contract with an annual salary of 20 million euros.

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee of €42 million, and has been with the club for nine years. In all competitions, he made 442 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 257 goals and providing 122 assists. He helped the team win two League Cup titles, two Premier League titles, one FIFA Club World Cup, and one UEFA Champions League. Salah has won the Premier League Golden Boot four times and was once named Premier League Player of the Season.

Salah, now 33 years old, stands 1.75 meters tall, is a left-footed right winger, and is valued at €30 million by Transfermarkt. This season, he has made 41 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, starting 34 of them, totaling 3,150 minutes on the pitch, with 12 goals and 10 assists. In the Premier League, he played 27 games (23 starts) with 7 goals and 7 assists. Salah will also represent the Egyptian national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, as he remains Egypt's top star.
