Two of the three individual prizes in the 2026 Southeast Asian U17 Championship were awarded to Vietnamese U17 players.
With outstanding performances, Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) at the 2026 Southeast Asian U17 Championship, while Ly Xuan Hoa won the Best Goalkeeper award.
These two individual awards further highlight the remarkable journey of Vietnam U17 in conquering the regional title. The remaining award, the 2026 Southeast Asian U17 Top Scorer, went to Australian U17 player Georgio Hassarati.

Nguyen Luc honored after helping Vietnam U17 win championship
In the final match held on April 24 evening, Vietnam U17 defeated Malaysia U17 3-0 to officially claim the crown. Goals were scored by Quy Vuong and a brace by Van Duong. Coach Cristiano Roland's team controlled the game early and capitalized on their advantage from the 11th minute, when Quy Vuong converted a corner situation to open the scoring. By the 45+4 minute, Van Duong doubled the lead after a sprint and finish from a close angle.

Goalkeeper Ly Xuan Hoa receives Best Goalkeeper award
In the second half, Vietnam U17 continued to maintain pressure. At the 54th minute, Tri Dung broke forward and crossed for Van Duong to complete his brace, sealing the 3-0 victory.
The championship is a deserved reward for Vietnam U17's impressive tournament journey. Vietnam U17 won the title with an unbeaten record of 4 wins and 1 draw, scoring 19 goals and conceding only once.
Notably, this is the fourth time Vietnam U17 has won the Southeast Asian U17 Championship, following victories in 2006, 2010, and 2017, making them the first team in history to achieve this milestone.
