MU receives an unexpected boost in the Premier League

Manchester United is emerging as the Premier League side with the most varied offensive lineup this season, featuring five players who have each netted seven or more goals.

Following a disastrous 2024/25 season with the worst scoring performance in history, Manchester United has undergone a remarkable transformation. After the 32nd round of the 2025/26 Premier League, the "Red Devils" have scored 57 goals, far surpassing the 44 goals of the entire previous season. This is the team's best scoring achievement since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer led the club to a second-place finish in the 2020/21 season.

MU is the only club with five players scoring at least seven goals in the Premier League this season

What sets Man Utd apart from the other Big Six rivals is the diversity in their finishing ability. Currently, Old Trafford is the only place that boasts five players who have scored seven or more goals in the league. This list includes: Bryan Mbeumo (9 goals), Benjamin Sesko (9 goals), Casemiro (8 goals), Bruno Fernandes (8 goals), and Matheus Cunha (7 goals).

This balanced distribution of goals creates a significant tactical advantage. While Manchester City relies on Erling Haaland for 35% of their goals, and Liverpool and Arsenal have only one representative reaching the seven-goal mark, Man Utd possesses "firepower" spread across all three lines. This allows the team to maintain strength even when key players face injuries or temporary loss of form.

Man Utd invested heavily in their attack last summer

This progress is not accidental. It stems from effective recruitment efforts last summer. The trio of new signings Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko may not have reached superstar numbers, but their combined 35 goal contributions have brought perfect balance to the attack.

Additionally, the resurgence of Casemiro with eight unexpected goals and the consistency of captain Bruno Fernandes cannot be overlooked. This foundation was firmly built during Ruben Amorim's tenure—where the team scored two or more goals in 10 out of 20 matches—and has been steadily maintained by Michael Carrick.

Currently, only Man City (63 goals) and Arsenal (62 goals) have better scoring records than the Red Devils, indicating that Man Utd has truly regained its status as one of the most formidable attacking forces in England.
