Reports indicate Vietnam's national team will compete at My Dinh Stadium in AFF Cup 2026 during July and August.
According to multiple sources, Vietnam's national team is likely to choose My Dinh Stadium as their home venue for AFF Cup 2026. As planned, Coach Kim Sang Sik's squad may host Singapore (July 31) and Cambodia (August 7) here in the group stage, and if they advance further, My Dinh will continue to be a crucial base for defending their championship title.
If this materializes, the national team will return to the "fiery cauldron" of My Dinh after nearly two years, since their 1-2 loss to Thailand in September 2024. During this period, Vietnam has played home matches at various venues like Viet Tri, Binh Duong, and Thong Nhat, achieving positive results.

Vietnam's national team may play at My Dinh Stadium in AFF Cup 2026
My Dinh Stadium is currently undergoing comprehensive renovation of its pitch and infrastructure since last September. Given the current progress, the stadium can be fully ready to serve the national team and fans during AFF Cup 2026.
AFF Cup 2026 (ASEAN Cup) will take place from July 24 to August 26, marking the 16th edition of the tournament and also commemorating its 30th anniversary. Notably, this edition is the first to be held in the summer season, instead of the traditional end-of-year period.
Vietnam's national team, led by Coach Kim Sang Sik, is the reigning champion after defeating Thailand in the 2024 final. As the top-ranked team in the region, Vietnam naturally becomes the leading contender for the championship.
In the group stage of AFF Cup 2026, Vietnam's national team is in Group A alongside Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the winner between Timor Leste and Brunei.
