The U23 Vietnam team has announced a list of 30 players called up for the first training camp in 2026, preparing to participate in the CFA Team China 2026 international football tournament. According to the plan, the entire team will gather in Hanoi from March 17 before traveling to China to compete at the end of the month.

This is the first gathering of U23 Vietnam since the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup final stage, coinciding with the FIFA Days training schedule of the national team. Therefore, assistant coach Dinh Hong Vinh continues to be trusted by head coach Kim Sang-sik to serve as Acting Head Coach of U23 Vietnam during this period.

In recent years, Mr. Dinh Hong Vinh has been a familiar figure accompanying youth teams such as U22 and U23 Vietnam in many training camps and international tournaments. His familiarity with the young players is expected to help the coaching staff maintain stability in the squad during the current transition phase.

For this gathering, the main goal of U23 Vietnam is to build a successor generation of players, as many key players have exceeded the age limit or moved up to the national team.
