Thai youth determined to secure victory against Vietnam U23

Thanakrit Chotmuangpak mentioned that Thailand U23 has made careful preparations, analyzed Vietnam U23, and is committed to achieving victory in CFA Team China 2026.

Thailand U23 is focusing intensely on the upcoming match against Vietnam U23 at the CFA Team China 2026 friendly tournament, and young midfielder Thanakrit Chotmuangpak is one of the players showing the strongest determination. Ahead of the match scheduled for March 28, the 2006-born player affirmed that the entire team has prepared meticulously in both physical and tactical aspects.

Following the 2-2 draw against China U23 in the opening match, Thailand U23 identified several areas needing improvement. Thanakrit said he has reached his peak physical condition to be ready to contribute to the team. He emphasized: "My personal fitness is now ready to assist the team. In our previous encounter with Vietnam U23, we performed quite well. This time, with some new players added, we are striving to understand each other better and prepare optimally for this match."

Not only focusing on internal refinement, Thailand U23 also proactively studied Vietnam U23's playing style. This is considered a crucial step to help the Golden Temple nation's team improve its organizational ability and effectiveness in matches. Thanakrit shared: "We concentrate on preparing ourselves, while also researching our opponent. We try to adjust defensive positioning, coordination within the defensive system, as well as individual technical details, to perform better than before."

Besides professional factors, Thailand U23 also faces objective challenges while competing in China. Cold weather and dietary differences somewhat affect the team's adaptation process. Nevertheless, competitive spirit remains at its highest. Thanakrit affirmed: "In China, we are adapting to colder weather, and food that may not suit our taste. But the whole team is still giving maximum effort. We hope fans will support us; we will do our utmost to achieve victory."

Thanakrit Chotmuangpak is one of the prominent young talents in Thai football today. He plays as an attacking midfielder and winger, developed from Buriram United's academy and promoted to the first team from the 2023/24 season. Previously, this player had a three-month training stint in England with Leicester City, accumulating valuable experience.

Even in his early professional appearances, Thanakrit impressed with his creativity and attacking support. He recorded two assists in his first Thai League 1 start, also featured in AFC Champions League, and was voted the best player of one match round. At national team level, Thanakrit has progressed through U17, U20, and is now a notable figure in Thailand U23, promising to pose significant challenges for Vietnam U23 in the upcoming encounter.
