Dinh Bac is honored in the 'Glory of Vietnamese Sports' program.

Forward Nguyen Dinh Bac, shooter Trinh Thu Vinh, track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh… along with numerous coaches, athletes, and outstanding disabled sports figures were honored in the "Glory of Vietnamese Sports 2026" program.

As part of the series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Sports Sector (March 27, 1946 – March 27, 2026) and the day Uncle Ho wrote the article "Exercise and Health" calling on compatriots to exercise, the Gala program "Glory of Vietnamese Sports 2026" was held on March 27 evening at the My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi).

The program, directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Administration, Vietnam Olympic Committee, and the Sports Information - Communication Center, aims to award outstanding athletes and coaches nationwide in 2025, while also meeting, exchanging, and recalling the 80-year development journey of Vietnamese sports.

Within the event framework, the Organizing Committee congratulated and commended outstanding coaches and athletes nationwide in 2025; excellent teams along with disabled athletes who achieved many impressive results.

Each achievement is not only the result of talent but also the crystallization of a persistent training process, resilient willpower overcoming personal limits and harsh challenges in training and competition. Behind each medal are silent efforts, national pride, and the aspiration to conquer new heights.

Through integrating youth exchange programs within the Gala framework, the role of the younger generation in accompanying and continuing the sustainable development journey of Vietnamese sports is reaffirmed.

Deputy Director Le Thi Hoang Yen emphasized: "Promoting the proud tradition of 80 years of construction and development, I hope all officials, civil servants, public employees, coaches, athletes, referees, and sports workers nationwide will continue to unite, be dynamic, creative, enthusiastically compete, strive to excellently complete assigned tasks; elevate the sports cause to new heights, contributing to the country's industrialization and modernization and improving the health, fitness, and stature of Vietnamese people in the spirit of 'A strong people makes a prosperous nation'.

Based on the results of the National Outstanding Athlete and Coach Selection, the program honored: 10 athletes, 5 coaches, 4 sports teams, 5 disabled athletes, 3 disabled sports coaches.

All are individuals and collectives who achieved outstanding results in 2025.
