Opening Ceremony for the C/AFC/VFF Certificate Football Coach Training Course 2026

The opening ceremony for the C/AFC/VFF certificate football coach training course 2026 was held at the Lach Tray Stadium Hall (Hai Phong).

On the morning of March 27, the opening ceremony for the C/AFC/VFF certificate football coach training course 2026 was held at the Lach Tray Stadium Hall (Hai Phong), organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in cooperation with Hai Phong Football Club. The course runs from March 27 to April 8, 2026, with 24 participants from clubs, football centers, and sports training institutions across the country.

Attending the opening ceremony, the local organizing committee included Mr. Nguyen Huu Huong – Chief of Office of Hai Phong Football Federation; Mr. Dang Van Son – Vice Chairman of Hai Phong Football Club. Representing VFF and the course organizing committee were Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Head of Grassroots Football, Training & Member Organization Department; along with instructors Tran Duy Quang, Nguyen Luong Phuc, and all course participants.

A highlight of this year's course is that Vietnamese instructors are for the first time directly leading the classes, supported by the technical expertise of Technical Director Koshida Takeshi. This is a concrete step in implementing VFF's policy to enhance the capacity of domestic instructors, aligning with the direction and recommendations of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Head of Grassroots Football, Training & Member Organization Department, representing VFF – stated that VFF is focused on building and developing a domestic instructor team with expertise and dedication, to meet the growing training needs of coaches nationwide.

With the thorough preparation by the organizing committee and the earnest attitude of the participants, the C/AFC/VFF certificate coach course 2026 in Hai Phong is expected to achieve high results, aiming for 100% completion by all participants, contributing to improving the quality of youth football training at local clubs and centers nationwide.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, instructor Tran Duy Quang emphasized that the C certificate course plays a foundational role in the coach training system, not only imparting technical and tactical knowledge but also developing modern coaching thinking. Instructor Tran Duy Quang hopes the course will create an open learning environment, promote professional exchange, thereby helping participants develop training plans suitable for different youth player groups.
