30 players called up to the Vietnam national team, ready to compete for World Cup qualification

To prepare for the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Finals, the Vietnam U17 women's national team officially assembled from March 23 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

This training camp includes 30 athletes (called up from localities and clubs nationwide) and will train at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center until April 9. On April 10, the team will depart to Japan for training to enhance their skills and accumulate international competition experience.

The 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Finals will take place in China from May 1 to May 15, 2026, gathering the continent's top teams. In this tournament, the Vietnam U17 women's national team is in Group A alongside opponents Thailand, Myanmar, and host China.

This group is considered highly competitive, requiring the entire team to be well-prepared technically and psychologically. Therefore, this training camp is of significant importance, serving as a necessary preparatory step for the team to aim for achieving good results at the continental arena.

At the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup Finals, the four teams reaching the semifinals will represent Asia in the FIFA U17 Women's World Cup 2026 in Morocco. This makes the tournament's competition even fiercer, as each match not only carries ranking significance but also represents an opportunity to reach the world stage.
