Vietnamese-American goalkeeper Filip Nguyen reaches historic milestone in Vietnam

Following three seasons of dedication, goalkeeper Filip Nguyen has recently reached the milestone of 100 games for CAHN Club in every arena.

On the evening of March 22, CAHN Club traveled to SHB Da Nang's stadium for a postponed match in round 13 of the V-League. With superior strength and form, the police department's team defeated the opponent 1-0, thereby maintaining their top position on the table with 41 points.

Notably, the match against Da Nang also marked a special milestone for Vietnamese-American goalkeeper Filip Nguyen. Accordingly, he officially reached 100 matches with the police department's team after two years and eight months of association.

On his personal page, the Czech-Vietnamese goalkeeper emotionally shared: "02/07/2023 – My first match for CAHN in Da Nang. Exactly two years, eight months, and twenty days later, at this same stadium, I achieved the milestone of 100 official matches for the club.

Time flies so quickly. Thank you to Công An Hà Nội FC for this wonderful opportunity! Together, we are writing history."

After 100 matches for CAHN, Nguyen Filip has kept a clean sheet in 30 games. In the 2025/25 season, Nguyen Filip started in 24 matches for CAHN across all competitions, including seven clean sheets.

Not only performing impressively for CAHN Club, Filip Nguyen is also a solid pillar in the goal of the Vietnam National Team in major international matches, including the 2023 Asian Cup finals.

After the match with Da Nang Club, Nguyen Filip will join six other CAHN players including Quang Hai, Dinh Trong, Van Hau, Thanh Long, Viet Anh, and Quang Vinh to assemble with the Vietnam National Team, preparing for two matches against Bangladesh and Malaysia.
