Coach Polking wants to upgrade V-League refereeing, specifically naming one individual.

CAHN Club won 1-0 against SHB Da Nang in a postponed V-League match, strengthening their position at the top of the table and distancing themselves from The Cong Viettel by 7 points. Nevertheless, head coach Alexandre Polking expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating, singling out Mr. Nguyen Viet Duan.

"Please never let this referee officiate any match involving CAHN again," Coach Polking stated. "I didn't want to, but eventually I had to speak out. What happened today was beyond tolerable.

Imagine what would have happened without VAR? A situation that was very clear, but the referee claimed the goalkeeper touched the ball first. Later in the match, a clear handball by a Da Nang player was visible from a favorable viewing angle, yet he allowed the game to continue.

I sincerely apologize for having to talk about the referee. I dislike discussing them. I always say that everyone can make mistakes, and ultimately, things will be fair. I wish the referee all the best. Perhaps he is a good referee, but I cannot hold back in the future because it's very hard to control emotions. If I'm wrong, please show me where I'm wrong and everything will be fine.

I don't want to pressure the referee or anyone, but clearly we need to improve refereeing standards to make matches more fair and of higher quality. We just want to compete in a fair-play environment. That is the most important thing for football," Coach Polking spoke at the post-match press conference at Chi Lang Stadium yesterday afternoon, March 22.

The win in the postponed match helped CAHN solidify their top position with 41 points, creating a 7-point gap over the second-placed team, The Cong Viettel.

Meanwhile, Coach Le Duc Tuan from SHB Da Nang was troubled by the consecutive injuries affecting his team's goalkeepers.

"Regarding our squad, we faced difficulties in the goalkeeper position due to injuries. Van Toan had shoulder issues and couldn't play, forcing us to use Van Biu. He tried very hard and endeavored to fulfill his duties.

We understand that the goalkeeper position is extremely important, but the team must accept reality and find ways to overcome it.

We played quite well. The players fought until the final minutes, especially in terms of competitive spirit. In football, the most important thing is still the result. We need to improve our performance, because the goal is to earn points to escape the bottom group of the table."
