Forward Nguyễn Xuân Son unexpectedly left a recent training session with the Vietnam national team, raising concerns ahead of the final match against Malaysia in the Asian Cup 2027 qualifying round.

On the afternoon of March 21, the first 10 players in Vietnam's March training camp began their initial session, preparing for the match against Malaysia in the final round of Group F for Asian Cup 2027 qualification.

However, the training session at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center quickly drew attention when forward Nguyễn Xuân Son unexpectedly had to leave the field early. The 1997-born player limped off and applied ice to his left thigh area, causing considerable concern.

Nevertheless, according to information from VnExpress, the Brazilian-origin striker did not suffer a serious injury issue. His early departure from training was part of the plan by coach Kim Sang Sik and the coaching staff, as the first session was primarily for acclimatization, helping players regain their feel for the ball and adapt to the national team environment.
