The Bangladesh national team arrived in Hanoi this afternoon on March 21, preparing for the FIFA Days international friendly match in March 2026 against the Vietnam national team at Hang Day Stadium on March 26.
According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Bangladesh team brought to Vietnam a squad with many players currently playing abroad. Among them, notable players are those who developed or are playing in developed football nations such as England, Finland, the USA, Canada, or Denmark.
This group of players is expected to significantly enhance the competitiveness of the South Asian team, particularly in organizing play and high-intensity contests.

Most notably is midfielder Hamza Choudhury, a player who previously played in the English Premier League for Leicester City. However, due to club schedule constraints, Choudhury will arrive in Hanoi on March 24.
The presence of this experienced player from a top-level environment is expected to help the visiting team improve the quality of their midfield.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam national team also regrouped in Hanoi this morning.
In the first two days, the Vietnam national team did not have a full squad as some players were still competing in the National Cup and the postponed match of Round 13 of V.League 2025/26. The earliest group of players to arrive were those from Hanoi, Thanh Pho Xanh Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, and HAGL.
According to the plan, on March 22, the group of players from Ninh Binh and The Cong Viettel will join after completing their duties in the National Cup. The final group will assemble on March 23, including players from the Hanoi Police Club due to their postponed V.League match.

The Bangladesh national team is scheduled to have five days of preparation for the friendly match against Vietnam at Hang Day Stadium. After the match against Vietnam, Bangladesh will play an official match against Singapore in the final round of the Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers.
