Do Hoang Hen feels emotional and moved on his first day joining the Vietnam national team.

Midfielder Do Hoang Hen could not conceal his emotions, blended with joy, upon arriving at Grand Plaza Hotel to meet up with the Vietnam national team on March 21 morning.

According to the plan announced by the coaching board, today March 21, the Vietnam national team officially begins its gathering from today to prepare for the friendly match against Bangladesh and the match against Malaysia on March 31.

The team is divided into three groups for the gathering, depending on the match schedules of their respective clubs.

Specifically, Group 1 gathered this morning March 21 with players from Hanoi FC, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, including two naturalized players Do Hoang Hen and Nguyen Xuan Son.

Group 2 will gather on March 22 with players from Ninh Binh and Viettel, as these two clubs are busy with National Cup matches. This group includes Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Khuat Van Khang, and Truong Tien Anh.

The final group will gather on March 24 with players from Hanoi Police FC including Nguyen Filip, Nguyen Quang Hai, Doan Van Hau, Tran Dinh Trong, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Le Pham Thanh Long. Previously, this group was busy with a postponed V-League match against Da Nang on March 22.

Newcomer Do Hoang Hen is the face attracting the most attention from the media on the first day of the Vietnam national team's gathering during the March FIFA Days.

Answering press interviews at Grand Plaza Hotel lobby, Hoang Hen said: "I feel very proud and extremely happy to be here. I am fully ready to seize this opportunity.

I am very happy to be with Xuan Son again in one team. We have known each other for a long time so it will be great to play football together again. I and Son will try our best to contribute to the Vietnam national team aiming for victory.

We will work hard for that. But the most important thing is not personal achievements but helping the Vietnam national team win."

At 16:00 this afternoon (March 21), Do Hoang Hen along with players in Group 1 will have their first training session at VFF Youth Training Center field.

On March 26, the Vietnam national team will play a friendly against Bangladesh at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi). Afterwards, the team will move to Ninh Binh to prepare for the match against Malaysia on March 31.
