Today, March 21, the Vietnam national team officially gathers in Hanoi to prepare for two crucial matches against Bangladesh and Malaysia within the FIFA Days framework in March.

The Vietnam national football team is entering its March training camp with a flexible organizational approach, dividing the squad into three groups, which will successively assemble in Hanoi starting March 21. This is considered a reasonable plan to optimize the preparation time given the clubs' still-packed schedules.

According to the plan, all national team players will gather at the Grand Plaza Hotel from March 21 to 24.

Today, March 21, the first group, consisting of players from Hanoi, Nam Định, Hải Phòng, and HAGL, will assemble. Among them, the two naturalized players, Đỗ Hoàng Hên and Nguyễn Xuân Son, receive significant attention as they are in good form and are expected to quickly integrate into the team's overall play style.

Next, on March 22, players from Ninh Bình and Thể Công Viettel will join after completing their duties in the National Cup. Notable key players joining this phase include Đặng Văn Lâm, Nguyễn Hoàng Đức, and Khuất Văn Khang.

The final group will assemble on March 24, consisting of players from CAHN Club, as this team has a postponed V-League match to play. The arrival of key players such as Nguyễn Quang Hải, Nguyễn Filip, and Đoàn Văn Hậu will complete the squad before entering the final preparation phase.

Once the full squad of 23 players is assembled, the team will intensify preparations for the important matches. According to the schedule, the coaching staff and players will have a friendly match against the Bangladesh national team on March 26 at Hàng Đẫy Stadium. Prior to that, the team will have an official training session there on March 25.

After this match, the team will continue training in Hanoi until March 29, primarily at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, before moving to Ninh Bình on March 30. There, they will have a familiarization training session at Thiên Trường Stadium, preparing for the encounter with the Malaysia national team on March 31 within the 2027 Asian Cup qualification round.

These two consecutive matches are seen as crucial tests, helping the Vietnam national team refine both technical aspects and personnel, thereby aiming for long-term goals in 2026.
