Coach Kim Sang Sik makes a decision regarding the Vietnamese national team roster for the match against Malaysia.

Coach Kim Sang Sik will not need to exclude any players from the Vietnamese national team's March training camp roster.

In preparation for important international duties during the FIFA Days in March 2026, the Vietnamese national team announced a list of 23 summoned players. Notably, this squad gathers many experienced faces and marks the return of key pillars who were previously absent due to injuries.

For this training camp, the Vietnam Football Federation did not release a preliminary list but decided to announce the official summons list from the start. However, many clubs had previously notified that their players were on the preliminary list but ultimately could not participate. Some notable names like Tien Linh, Duc Chien, and Patrik Le Giang did not remain in the final list.

With this training camp list consisting of 23 players, it is also the official roster for the Vietnamese national team for the two matches against Bangladesh and Malaysia, as it exactly meets the required registration number. Thus, Coach Kim Sang Sik will not need to exclude any names from the Vietnamese national team during this training session.

Alongside Nguyen Xuan Son and Cao Pendant Quang Vinh – naturalized players who have secured their positions, this list also marks the first appearance of midfielder Do Hoang Hen (Hendrio Araujo). This player officially became a Vietnamese citizen in October 2025 and is highly regarded for his individual technique, creativity, and cooperative play style. Joining Vietnamese football in 2021 with Binh Dinh Club, Do Hoang Hen has now played for over 5 years and accumulated extensive experience in V.League.

The training list continues to provide opportunities for promising young players such as goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, defender Nguyen Nhat Minh, and midfielder Khuat Van Khang. Additionally, there are two other potential figures: defender Pham Ly Duc and striker Nguyen Dinh Bac, but this duo is not participating in the March training camp due to serving AFC card suspensions at the 2026 Asian U23 Championship finals.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese national team will assemble in Hanoi from March 21. Players involved in the 2025/26 National Cup quarter-finals and the postponed Round 13 match of V.League 2025/26 will join the camp later. During this FIFA Days period, the national team will have an international friendly match against Bangladesh at 7:00 PM on March 26 at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi), before moving to Ninh Binh to prepare for hosting Malaysia at Thiên Truong Stadium on March 31 within the framework of the final Asian Cup 2027 qualifying round.
