Nam Định FC successfully recruits the central defender duo Giáp Tuấn Dương and Lê Văn Thành to strengthen their defense, aiming to improve performance in the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Nam Định FC continues to demonstrate ambition in the second half of the 2025/26 season by officially announcing two new signings: Giáp Tuấn Dương and Lê Văn Thành. The central defender duo is expected to bring the necessary solidity to the defensive line of the Nam Định club for the remainder of the season.

This reinforcement is part of the plan to increase squad depth, especially in the defensive line – an area where Nam Định has not achieved the desired stability. The two young but experienced players are seen as a solution to enhance the quality of the defensive system.

Among them, Giáp Tuấn Dương is the name attracting much attention. The 2002-born central defender possesses a rare left foot, capable of playing flexibly both as a central defender and a left wing-back. Before leaving Hanoi Police FC, he had nearly 50 appearances in V.League, accumulating significant professional experience.

Under Philippe Troussier, Tuấn Dương was given opportunities at various national team levels, showing clear development potential. However, the inability to compete for a starting spot at his parent club led this player to seek a new destination to maintain his form and playing opportunities.

Meanwhile, Lê Văn Thành is a right-footed central defender, notable for his ability in duels and a determined playing style. The 2001-born player previously played for Bình Phước FC in the First Division, and also spent 4 seasons competing in V.League with Sông Lam Nghệ An, thereby accumulating stable match experience.

The addition of Tuấn Dương and Văn Thành is expected to create a "steel-like" quality for Nam Định's defense. With two youthful yet experienced elements, the Thiên Trường Stadium-based team aims to improve results and strive for clear progress in the decisive phase of the 2025/26 season.
