Nguyen Chi Huong expresses joy and determination upon his first summons to the Vietnam U19 team in the latest training camp.
Making his debut in the Vietnam U19 training camp roster, Nguyen Chi Huong quickly became a focal point of attention. The young Hoang Anh Gia Lai midfielder entered the national team environment with an eager mindset, marking a significant milestone in his career development journey.
Born in 2008, Chi Huong possesses a height of 1.80m and a dynamic playing style in the midfield area. Developed from the HAGL training academy, he has long been highly regarded for his technical foundation and modern football thinking, aligning with the development direction of the national youth teams.
Before the call-up, this midfielder had valuable experience competing in the National Second Division. Additionally, regular training with the HAGL first team helped Chi Huong accumulate more experience and improve his competitive composure despite his very young age.
Sharing about this special milestone in his career, the young player could not hide his emotions: "My feelings upon being first summoned to the Vietnam U19 team for this initial camp are immense joy, happiness, and honor. I will strive to train very well to prove myself further and be included in the upcoming training sessions."
In this current training camp, Vietnam U19 is training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to prepare for major upcoming objectives. The team aims for the 2026 U19 Southeast Asian Championship and the 2027 U20 Asian Cup qualifiers, with the determination to build a squad with depth and high competitiveness.
According to the plan, the training camp lasts approximately two weeks and is divided into two phases. After assessing the squad in the first week, the coaching staff will continue to add new elements in the second week, thereby finalizing the optimal core framework for Vietnam U19 in the journey to conquer important upcoming tournaments.
