The Vietnam U15 women's team will compete in the event for U15 women's teams (CommBank Emerging Matildas Championships), held at the Home of the Matildas Centre in Bundoora, Australia. The participation of the Vietnamese representative is expected to deliver high-quality matches and also provide young Australian players with the opportunity to test themselves against one of the region's leading women's football development environments.

Vietnam is currently regarded as one of the leading countries in Southeast Asia in women's football development; with many notable achievements in recent times, such as: First-time participation in the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, reaching the quarter-finals of the latest AFC Women's Asian Cup, along with multiple medals at the ASEAN Women's Football Championship and Southeast Asian Games…

The 2026 CommBank Emerging Championships is considered an important platform for discovering and nurturing young talents, while also enhancing youth football exchanges among countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The participation of the Vietnam U15 women's team promises to offer valuable experiences for young players on their development and international integration journey; contributing to strengthening cooperative relations between the Vietnam Football Federation and Football Australia in youth football training and development.

According to a representative from Football Australia, inviting international teams to the tournament helps elevate the professional quality and also creates opportunities for young Australian players to challenge themselves against various playing styles.

Alongside the Vietnam U15 women's team, this year's tournament also welcomes the U15 men's team from the JFA Academy under the Japan Football Association (JFA) to participate in the men's event (CommBank Emerging Socceroos Championships). This is a renowned football academy in Japan, which has played a significant role in training top young talents in Asia for many years.
