Coach Mai Duc Chung has stepped down from his position as head coach of the Vietnam women's national football team after the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026.

Currently, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has prepared a replacement plan and is waiting for the official announcement.

"Regarding the successor, I cannot specify details. VFF has a plan. The likely candidate has closely followed the team in tournaments like SEA Games or AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Within a team, cohesion, unity, and high consensus must be built. On the field, the coach must know how to inspire and oversee match developments. Besides expertise, the coach also has to handle many other tasks like internal affairs, external relations, and team management.

The first and most important thing is to have sincere affection for the players. Only with genuine care can one better look after them, monitor their daily lives, and even care about each player's family circumstances. Then, the players can feel the coach's concern," Coach Mai Duc Chung shared.

Do Hoang Hen participates in election in Hanoi.

Midfielder Do Hoang Hen of Hanoi FC and other naturalized foreign players will vote in the National Assembly and People's Council elections today, March 15.

Having obtained Vietnamese citizenship in October 2025, Do Hoang Hen (Brazilian name Hendrio Araujo) has full rights and obligations of a Vietnamese citizen, including voting rights. The player born in 1994 will cast his vote at 7:30 AM on March 15 at polling station number 22.

Do Hoang Hen naturalized as Vietnamese in October 2025 after accumulating five consecutive years of living and playing in V-League 1.

"Hen is very proud to be a Vietnamese citizen and for the first time has the opportunity to vote in the National Assembly election in Vietnam. Hen knows this is an important national event and will strive to make accurate choices," Hoang Hen shared on his first chance to participate in an election in Vietnam.

Along with Do Hoang Hen, other naturalized players like Nguyen Xuan Son and Do Phi Long also participate in the election.

Dong A Thanh Hoa FC has settled financial obligations with two salary debt cases, and FIFA has lifted two bans on registering new players for the club in V-League 1.

On the morning of March 14, Thanh Hoa Club had two bans on registering new players removed from FIFA's data system. Regarding the remaining two penalties, the Thanh region club is still not permitted to register players.

Thanh Hoa Club has endeavored to pay legal financial obligations to the two aforementioned players to gradually lift FIFA's four bans on registering new players. They still have two cases to resolve before March 17.
