Napoli and Juventus both secured narrow victories, making the Serie A top-four race extremely fierce.

Napoli and Juventus both earned the full three points in Serie A round 29, against Lecce and Udinese in turn, thus continuing to strengthen their standings positions.

At their home stadium, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Napoli endured a breathless chase against Lecce. Despite being rated higher, the team under coach Antonio Conte had a very difficult start.

Just in the third minute, Lecce surprisingly took the lead when center-back Jamil Siebert rose high for a powerful header from Danilo Veiga's corner, denying goalkeeper Alex Meret any chance to save.

After the early conceded goal, Napoli pushed their formation higher to seek an equalizer. However, despite dominating ball control in the first half, the home team did not create many truly dangerous situations. Their clearest opportunity belonged to captain Matteo Politano with a shot from a quick counterattack, but the ball only went wide of the net.

The turning point arrived right at the start of the second half. Exploiting a gap in Lecce's defense, Billy Gilmour delivered a precise through pass for Politano to sprint down the wing. The equalizer boosted Napoli's morale. In the 65th minute, the home team completed the comeback. From a corner kick, the ball was lofted into the penalty area before finding Politano's position. The Italian midfielder unleashed a lightning-fast one-touch volley, driving the ball into Lecce's net, sealing a 2-1 victory for Napoli.

This victory extends Napoli's unbeaten home streak this season, while also extending their unbeaten run against Lecce to eight matches.

Meanwhile, at the Bluenergy Stadium, Juventus secured a minimal 1-0 victory over Udinese to climb into the leading group of four teams. The squad under coach Luciano Spalletti controlled the game for most of the time but had to wait until the 38th minute to find the goal.

From an attacking buildup on the left flank, defender Lloyd Kelly made a clever through pass for Kenan Yildiz to sprint forward. The Turkish young talent then delivered a convenient cross for Jeremie Boga to easily tap the ball into the net, scoring his third consecutive goal in Serie A.

After the break, Udinese had a good chance to equalize when Keinan Davis crossed to set up Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, but the Dutch midfielder shot wide of the post in an unmarked position.

On the other end, Juventus created more opportunities but could not increase the lead as goalkeeper Maduka Okoye repeatedly showcased his saving skills for the home team. Notably, Francisco Conceicao's goal in the second half was disallowed due to an offside violation.

Juventus preserved the 1-0 victory until the end. This result marks the "Old Lady's" ninth win in the last ten encounters with Udinese, while temporarily surpassing competitors to squeeze into the Serie A top four, whereas Udinese continues to tread water in the mid-table region.
