Coach Polking pleased after crucial victory against Ninh Bình

Coach Polking states that the three points against Ninh Bình are highly meaningful for CAHN in the title chase.

Coach Mano Polking believes the victory over Ninh Bình is a significant step forward, helping CAHN Club maintain its advantage in the V.League championship race. The German-Brazilian tactician praised his players' performance, particularly their control of the match for most of the game.

Regarding the match's progression, Coach Polking admitted that his team scoring the opening goal in the very first minute was somewhat surprising. However, he considered it a consequence of the tactical approach CAHN is pursuing. According to him, the high-pressing style caused the opponent to make mistakes and allowed the team to gain an early advantage. This goal brought excitement and greatly boosted the players' motivation throughout the match.

Nevertheless, CAHN's captain was not entirely satisfied with his team's performance in the final stages of the match. He candidly acknowledged that the last few minutes posed significant difficulties for the team under pressure from Ninh Bình.

"I am satisfied with the first 80 minutes; we controlled the game completely and should have scored more to seal the match. But the last 10 minutes were not good at all. That might be my fault for making too many substitutions, disrupting the team's structure. I hope this won't happen again," Coach Polking shared.

The coach born in 1976 also revisited CAHN's journey across competitions this season and mentioned the pressure of leading a major club. "The pressure on a coach leading CAHN is always immense, and I like that. There's no problem. We won the National Super Cup at the start of the season. We lost on penalties in the National Cup. In the Asian Cup C2, we lost not on the pitch, but off it. And currently, we are leading the V.League."

Coach Polking also stressed that CAHN's major goal this season is to conquer the V.League championship. According to him, achieving this would allow the police department club to complete the domestic trio of titles—V.League, National Cup, and Super Cup—within just two years. "I call that a great success," CAHN's captain affirmed.
