OFFICIAL: Chelsea star receives heavy penalty in the Premier League.

Pedro Neto is repeatedly entangled in disciplinary issues, being suspended by the FA and fined £70,000 following his conduct toward referees in the Arsenal match, with UEFA concurrently initiating its own inquiry.

Chelsea winger Pedro Neto continues to be the center of controversy after a series of unrestrained actions recently. Following the incident where he shoved a ball boy during Chelsea's 2-5 defeat to PSG, the Portuguese star has now received an additional penalty from the Football Association (FA).

According to the latest decision from the FA, Pedro Neto is suspended for one match and fined £70,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct that occurred after he received a red card in Chelsea's match against Arsenal earlier this month.

In that match, Neto was sent off in the 70th minute after a reckless and entirely unnecessary challenge on Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli. However, what prompted the FA to impose an additional penalty was not just the foul, but the player's actions after being expelled from the field.

A spokesperson for the FA stated: “Pedro Neto is suspended for one match and fined £70,000 for misconduct occurring after he was sent off in Chelsea's Premier League match against Arsenal on March 1.

The player is accused of inappropriate behavior by not leaving the pitch immediately and using offensive language toward the referees after receiving the red card in the 70th minute.

Pedro Neto subsequently admitted to the violation. An independent disciplinary committee issued the sanction following a hearing, and detailed reasons will be published in due course.”

Due to this suspension, Neto will be unable to participate in Chelsea's home match against Newcastle this weekend. Additionally, Estevao is absent due to injury, leaving manager Liam Rosenior facing considerable challenges in arranging personnel for the wing positions.

In this context, it is likely that Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, and Alejandro Garnacho will be deployed to support striker Joao Pedro from behind. Furthermore, Jamie Gittens may return to the squad, and even young talent Ryan Kavuma-McQueen could unexpectedly be given a chance to play.

Notably, the FA's decision was issued just one day after UEFA announced it is launching a separate investigation into Pedro Neto for pushing a ball boy during Chelsea's loss to PSG in the Champions League.

This incident sparked tensions at the Parc des Princes when Neto shoved the ball boy into an advertising board, leading to a chaotic confrontation between players from both teams.

UEFA stated in its official announcement: “Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against Chelsea player Pedro Lomba Neto for unsportsmanlike conduct under Article 15(1)(a)(v) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations.

UEFA's disciplinary bodies will decide on this matter in the coming period.”
