The scenario of Klopp coaching a World Cup-winning national team unexpectedly heats up.

German media reveals that the country's football federation has repeatedly approached Jürgen Klopp, sparking strong speculation about his potential appearance on the national team's coaching bench.

According to Sport Bild, Jürgen Klopp's future has unexpectedly become a hot topic in German football in recent weeks. Since taking the position of Global Football Director at Red Bull in January 2025, the 59-year-old strategist has been continuously rumored to soon return to coaching work, even though he has stated he is satisfied with his current role.

Over the past months, the former coach of Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool has mainly been linked by media to the hot seat at Real Madrid. However, sources in Germany suggest another scenario is increasingly being mentioned: the German Football Federation has repeatedly contacted Klopp, and the possibility of him coaching the national team that has won the World Cup four times is considered "relatively feasible."

Although Julian Nagelsmann still has a contract with the German national team until 2028, Sport Bild reports that the prospect of a change on the coaching bench is still being discussed internally at Red Bull. This stems from the fact that the German Football Federation has proactively approached Klopp multiple times recently.

This information is indirectly confirmed by Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke. He stated that the German Football Federation has "repeatedly contacted" his client. Kosicke also believes that coaching the national team is an offer that Klopp cannot easily ignore completely.

"I don't think he sees it as something he must do once in his lifetime. But he also feels a sense of responsibility, and cannot always refuse this job," Kosicke shared when discussing Klopp's potential to coach the German national team.

Meanwhile, some previous rumors suggested Klopp might soon leave Red Bull. However, Sport Bild asserts that early termination of the contract of the former Liverpool coach, which runs until 2029, has never been discussed. This indicates his current position remains very stable.
