In preparation for the match between the Vietnam national team and the Malaysia national team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, scheduled at Thien Truong Stadium (Ninh Binh), on March 12 morning, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) coordinated with the functional agencies of Ninh Binh province to conduct a meeting to implement the match organization work.
Attending the meeting, on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) were VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu along with representatives from various functional departments of VFF. From the local side, there was Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh province – along with representatives from relevant provincial departments, agencies, and units.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the coordination plan for organizing the match, focusing on key aspects such as facilities, security and safety, medical services, logistics, commercial activities, and media. According to the plan, Thien Truong Stadium will be handed over to the Organizing Committee approximately five days prior to the match for the installation of technical components and equipment meeting AFC standards for an official international match.
Speaking at the meeting, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu stated that choosing Thien Truong Stadium as the venue aligns with VFF's strategy to bring international matches of the Vietnam national team to various localities across the country, rather than concentrating solely in major cities. VFF leadership highly appreciates the facility conditions and the passionate football atmosphere in Ninh Binh – a locality with experience in organizing numerous domestic and international professional tournaments – and expressed confidence that with close coordination between VFF and provincial functional agencies, the match organization will be carried out systematically, contributing to a high-quality football event that meets AFC standards.
Representing the local Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Binh province – affirmed that the province will mobilize all forces and closely cooperate with VFF to ensure optimal conditions for the organization work. Mr. Nguyen Tan Anh emphasized that hosting the national team match holds significance not only in sports but also as an opportunity to promote the image of Ninh Binh, a region rich in historical and cultural traditions, to a wide audience of fans both domestically and internationally.
The match between the Vietnam national team and the Malaysia national team will take place on March 31, 2026 at Thien Truong Stadium, expected to attract significant attention from fans nationwide. The ticket sales plan for spectators to attend the stadium to enjoy the football and support the team will be announced by VFF in the coming period.
