Vietnam National Team Receives Massive Bonus After Asian Cup Finals Victory

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan Congratulates Vietnam Women's National Team and Decides to Award the Entire Team an Encouragement Bonus of 500 Million VND.

Immediately after the 2-1 victory of the Vietnam Women's National Team over India in the opening match of the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup Finals, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the VFF Executive Committee and Standing Committee, sent congratulations and commendations to the entire team.

To promptly acknowledge and encourage the team's spirit, VFF leadership decided to award an encouragement bonus of 500 million VND to the Vietnam Women's National Team for their achievement of winning the opening match.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly praised the resilient fighting spirit, composure, and efforts of Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players, who did not falter even after conceding an equalizer, thereby securing all 3 crucial points on their debut.

This is a well-deserved result for the team's serious and methodical preparation throughout the recent period. VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan encouraged the Vietnam Women's National Team to maintain their focus, quickly recover their physical strength, and prepare optimally for the next match, aiming for the highest goal in the tournament.

Speaking after the 2-1 victory over the India Women's National Team in the opening match of the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup Finals, Head Coach Mai Duc Chung praised his players' competitive spirit, also stating that composure helped the Vietnam Women's National Team overcome the difficult moments of the match.

In the player interview segment, midfielder Ngan Thi Van Su – who scored a brace to earn 3 points for the Vietnam Women's National Team – said: "The whole team played with more than 200% effort. The coaching staff devised a suitable tactical plan for us to achieve a good result. When the unfortunate conceded goal happened, we encouraged each other that there was still time and we needed to strive even more."

The midfielder born in 2001 also affirmed that the entire team will seriously learn from the situation that led to conceding the goal to improve further in the upcoming matches, determined to strive for the tournament's set objectives.
