FIFA yet to lift transfer ban on Thanh Hoa FC.

Thanh Hoa FC has paid a fine, reportedly around 3 billion VND as required by FIFA to lift the transfer ban, racing against time to sign new players.

In round 14 of LPBank V-League 2025/26, Thanh Hoa, despite not having the ban on registering new players lifted, managed to draw 3-3 with their opponent.

Thanh Hoa started round 14 with 18 players. The return of foreign player Rimario Gordon was notable after his strike due to the club owing him several months' salary.

After this draw, Thanh Hoa has 13 points and is only 3 points ahead of the bottom team despite having played one more match.

The event immediately set a new milestone by attracting 44,379 spectators to Perth Stadium, becoming the match with the highest live attendance in the tournament's history.

According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), this figure has shattered a record that stood for 12 years.

The previous record was set at the 2014 Women's Asian Cup hosted in Vietnam. During the playoff match for the 2015 Women's World Cup spot between the Vietnam and Thailand women's teams at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City), 18,000 spectators attended.

Although the match did not affect the continental championship, the AFC still recognized it as the highest attendance in the tournament's history at that time.

Coach Le Huynh Duc disappointed.

Ho Chi Minh City Police FC lost to Becamex Binh Duong FC in round 14 of LPBank V-League 2025/26.

Coach Le Huynh Duc stated at the post-match press conference: "I warned them after the previous match, attacking a lot without finishing will surely cost us. That's football. I have no regrets, only regret not scoring. If we had scored early, everything would have been different.

The issue is not tactics but the final execution. We need to rebuild confidence so the players can finish more sharply."

This loss leaves Ho Chi Minh City Police FC stuck in 6th place with 20 points, missing the chance to close in on the leading group.

The valuable 3 points help Becamex Binh Duong FC temporarily climb to 10th place, providing a positive psychological boost for their relegation battle.

Ninh Binh FC assistant coach praises Xuan Son.

Head coach Gerard Albadalejo was disciplined, assistant Tran Duy Quang temporarily took charge for this match.

After Ninh Binh FC's 2-3 loss to Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC, assistant Tran Duy Quang said: "Xuan Son indeed played very well. Nam Dinh FC's play largely revolves around Xuan Son. Before this round, Nam Dinh had lost many matches. I congratulate them on their victory.

Ninh Binh FC scored two early goals but failed to maintain the lead, which is regrettable. The Ninh Binh defense was complacent in allowing Nam Dinh to pull one back in the first half. That boosted the opponent's determination, making further goals inevitable."

This was Xuan Son's first goal in the V-League this year since returning from a long-term injury.

Previously, Son had scored up to 8 goals across various competitions but was unlucky in the V-League.
