Shining once again, Xuan Son reveals the secret behind his new hairstyle

Forward Xuan Son has officially netted his first goal in this year's V.League season, making a vital contribution as Thep Xanh Nam Dinh overturned the score to beat Ninh Binh 3-2 in the 14th round.

After a six-month winless streak and turbulence in the coaching staff, Nam Dinh entered the match under immense pressure. However, the home team soon found themselves in trouble when Thanh Thinh opened the scoring for Ninh Binh in just the 8th minute with a stunning long-range strike from about 35 meters. In the 32nd minute, Hoang Duc doubled the lead following a defensive error by Nam Dinh, pushing the reigning champions into a challenging situation.

The turning point came in the 41st minute when Chadrac Akolo reduced the deficit to 1-2, reigniting hope for the home side at Thien Truong Stadium. In the second half, the momentum of the game completely shifted. In the 74th minute, Xuan Son rose high for a classy header, equalizing at 2-2 amidst an eruption of joy from the fans. By the 82nd minute, Kevin Pham Ba seized an opportunity inside the box to secure the 3-2 victory, completing a spectacular comeback.

After the match, Xuan Son could not hide his emotions upon "opening his account" in the V.League for this season. He shared: “Currently, I am feeling truly fantastic about scoring my first V.League goal since my return. In the recent match, my teammates and I fought with all our might, every single minute, but the results haven't always been in our favor. I am aware that our current position on the league table is not good. However, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh will always fight and give our best in every game.”

When asked about his new hairstyle, the forward revealed: “Following some advice from a friend in Vietnam, 'Xuan Son should try cutting his hair, to see if it changes his luck.' So I gave it a try because Vietnamese culture is very rich and worth learning from and absorbing. Regarding today's goal, I genuinely feel absolutely wonderful.”

Coach Vu Hong Viet also offered special praise for his player, admitting he was very worried when his team trailed 0-2, but he believed in their ability to stage a comeback. He emphasized that Xuan Son had played well in previous matches but lacked luck, whereas in this match he had both luck and demonstrated his high professional caliber.
