According to the traditional allocation mechanism, the top four Premier League teams secure direct entry to the Champions League. However, since UEFA increased the number of teams in the league phase to 36, two additional spots are awarded to the two nations with the best performance coefficient in the current season's European cups. This is the key point.

As of now, England leads the season's coefficient ranking, creating a significant gap over Germany, Spain, and Italy. If it maintains the top position until the season's end, the Premier League will gain a fifth spot. • An English club winning the Champions League but not finishing in the top five.

• Another English club winning the Europa League and also not finishing in the top five.

This is a combination of probabilities that is not simple, but it is not unrealistic when considering the density of representatives and the overall form of English clubs in this season's European cups.
